You will find all kinds of sites that share info. about the crime rate in the Toronto location. But lets say that you were going to visit a small town in Ontario that wasn't classed as one of the well known tourist areas. How do you know its safe there? So you would do the same thing. Type in the name of the town for i.e. Timmins Ontario Canada 2011 crime rate. Again you will find a list of sites that will give you information on the crime statistics for that area.
